Clement hits DL to recover from knee pain

Battling irritation in his left knee, first baseman Jeff Clement was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Monday. His placement was made retroactive to Saturday, meaning that Clement will be eligible to return as early as Sept.

Shortened game doesn't help hitting woes
